Re: AFR 25th Jan 2018 Summary of the CPA Fiasco

The final comment sums up for me that deep down nothing has really changed and the rot still remains .
The comeuppance was done, sure, but so was the whitewash.

Re: Peter Wilson:- Reumeration reporting in his charity

Interest extract from the AHRI Constitution At least CPAA have the nomination committee to rubber stamp new directors. ARHI don't even bother with that and absolutely no restriction on a director being re-elected indefinitely. Lets hope our new President doesn't try to implement this practice at CPA...

Re: What do members think of "InTheBlack" magazine?

I have to admit I do read Neale Blackwoods Excel articles each month as an educational exercise to pick up tricks and tips on areas of excel that I may not be familiar with. However the rest of it is pure fluff and lifestyle crap which goes straight in the recycling bin along with all the other junk...

To be quite honest I don't remember as I was so frustrated simply trying to find my own record as a test. It is one of the things I am insisting on for the next viewing.

Re: AFR 2 Aug 2017 - Remaining CPA board to appear before Senate Committee

Mmm, without looking into it further, I believe the law and constitution should be read together. The constitution is essentially adding further requirements above the minimum. Otherwise, what's the point of a constitution? Nude and Red Ferrari, Let me clarify my earlier post. Nude yes you are corr...

The register was provided by CPA Australia with the information in its register in accordance with the Act. Just to clarify Section 169 which defines what is contained within the register only states that it must have (a) the member's name and address; (b) the date on which the entry of the member'...

How much longer can these ostriches remaining on the board keep their heads deeply buried in the sand and fail to acknowledge that they simply should go .

Re: CPA Australia Demographic & membership numbers

Did anyone note that 200 ASA are voting members???? 200 ASAs are voting members of CPA Australia. These individuals joined between 1 January 1985 and 30 June 1990. How can it be that someone could have joined CPAA as an ASA over 27 years ago and either not progressed through to CPA or FCPA designat...

We want to fully understand the issues and look at ways to move forward.” I can only hope this proves to be true and that change does occur. However until th...

No worries, Jen. I was hoping to post a Dilbert cartoon from yesteryear about our dear CEO's pay, but I don't appear to be able to post attachments. If I can be so self-indulgent for readers to look at the cartoon which I posted on my personal LinkedIn page a couple of days ago...... Cheers Jeremy ...

Life membership already given to Malley, Wade etc... Is there mechanism to revoke ?? Absolutely- Its in the constitution. Once the new board gets in I will be asking for a motion to that effect. 43.
