Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Re: CEO terminated effective today!

Unless my twitter feed is down, it looks like the CPA have taken down their @nakedceo twitter site. So much for all the money CPA have spent promoting that line. Referring to Alex's recent radio interview, does that mean the CPA Board now recognises that its previous strategy of raising brand awaren...

Re: CEO terminated effective today!

Maybe there is a silver lining to all of this. Malley's payout ISN'T a genuine bona-fidi redundancy because the position of CPA's CEO will be replaced. Therefore Malley should have his excessive $5m payout taxed at the top marginal rate - 47% + 2% Medicare levy. I'll be letting the ATO know - just i...

Re: CEO terminated effective today!

Presumably Malley had to organise his outrageous termination payout using the remaining 5 Board members knowing he had a snowflakes chance in hell if getting approved once 7 Independant directors (who wouldnt be blindsided by his self professed 'brilliance') were appointed.

Re: FIGHTING FUND ESTABLISHED!

Surely the Directors are liable as a result of this mess? Grossly overpaying Malley (or awarding him such a lucrative contract) surely isn't acting in the members best interest? Its a clear breach of their duties as Directors. Secondly most ASX listed executive contracts I've seen have a 12 month no...

Re: CEO terminated effective today!

We (the collective) have paid for Malley to be a multi multimillionaire - all for running a non for profit organisation. Unbelievable.

Re: Prologue

If thats true, I wonder who pays the cost of the legal action - the CPA or Malley. My guess it would be the CPA - after all it has a virtual bottomless pit of money at its disposal (with its recurring dependable revenue stream). Seems the AFR is running an article today on Alex Malley bullying staff...

Outstanding work by Andrew! I hope this letter is being forwarded to ASIC to 'assist' them with their investigation. Andrew has done all the work for them.

Re: Prologue

We should all be given a free copy - after all we all have (collectively) paid for it and therefore should at least have free access so we can all learn from this self professed accounting marvel!

Re: Does the review panel pass the independence test??

If its a benefit to members then why aren't each one of them getting a free copy? After all members pay $600 odd pa for the privilege of membership so surely it wouldn't be too much to expect to be able to have access to the publication they paid for?

Re: What are the next steps? 12th June 2017

Of course Malley won't walk away without a fight - who could blame him? He has mortgages from his multimillion dollar property portfolio to fund, 7 kids to feed and a giant sized ego. Further he'll never see that kind of money again as a salary. One other factor is that I suspect he genuinely thinks...

What is it with these member organisations when it comes to fraud? The unions are a perfect case in point.....

I guess its a matter of greed when the spending of other peoples monies are not properly held to account in a transparent fashion.....
