Re: CPA Advice

Looks like the wheels are falling off CPA Australia Advice. The number of registered financial advisers under its licence, are continuing to decrease, not increase. The writing is clearly on the wall for this organisation. I wonder how many thousands of dollars it will cost the members to pay PWC to ...

Re: An ethical stalemate - APESB and CPA Australia

The CPA Australia brand is basically about an education business. It is not really about anything else. What do others think? Who has received and read the CPA draft corporate strategy for 2018-2021? https://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/about-us/our-organisation/draft-corporate-strategy?utm_source=exactt...

Re: The new leadership of CPA Australia are just as bad as the old.

This reminds me of the situation where the management talk about ethics, acting in the best interest, good governance and being transparent, but in reality they do the minimum. They tell the membership both junior and senior, the staff, the external parties, of the importance of acting ethically, et...

2017 Australian Human Resources Institute accounts

Have attached the 2017 accounts for the Australian Human Resources Institute. Maybe the members of ARHI would want to take a closer look at the financial accounts. This entity was started in 2006. On 29 June 2009 it was granted income tax exempt status. Registered as a charity? Only about 15,000 mem...

1 June 2018 - CPA -Intheblack - Should auditors be held liable if they miss fraud?

Found this article below with regards to audits from the Intheblack online. What a sad response from CPA Australia, especially with regards to the issues now being raised about the function of audits, especially in the not for profit sector and also large listed organisations. The external auditors ...

Re: Failure of the IRP Final Report - No accountability or responsibility

Brett is right. It is best to speak up and encourage both the young eager members and the senior members that do want change, but are currently focused on their own jobs, business and family, to drive for change. Change will come. Brett has shown with one voice, that many have been awoken to take ac...

Re: 23 May 2018 - AFR Fiery CPA AGM calls for stripping Alex Malley's life membership

Will the current board remove the life membership? The life membership of Alex Malley, Graeme Wade etc should be removed. They got very well paid, and should therefore pay to be a member, if they still wish to be a member.

So CPA Australia, want to spent funds, and get PWC to provide a report, which will basically say that CPA Australia Advice, will not be able to succeed in the long term without continued membership funds from CPA Australia.
