Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Re: TV Ads

I think the CPA is not advising the members who are getting the corporate sponsorship tickets and the tickets to the Australian Open finals? Sounds like a CPA is trying to say they are providing the members with the corporate sponsorship tickets in this competition, but are they??? Have attached the...

Re: TV Ads

Did anyone hear who won the CPA tickets to the Australian Open that CPA Australia was advertising that members could win?

Maybe the winners of the tickets were the management team and select board members?

Re: ABC - Entry exams and fail rates

It would be interesting if ICAANZ started to advertise their course being available to more accountants to undertake, and whether the numbers undertaking the institute course would increase. The ICAANZ course is harder then the CPA, as argued by many institute members and by members of CPA Australia...

Re: ABC - Entry exams and fail rates

This a problem which CPA management, have no real idea , about how to solve, expect to recommend that you attend one of the authorised education providers, which costs more money. The quality of the product provided is poor, and reflected in the failure rates. The senior team at CPA Australia, requi...

Re: Meeting notes - Wilson meeting 11 Dec 2017

Jeff, you would not be the only member that felt the brick wall of the CPA management team and board. It is probably the reason why the board/senior management team, wanted to bring in their new code of conduct about the way the members interact with CPA Australia. This new policy would give CPA Aus...

Re: Meeting notes - Wilson meeting 11 Dec 2017

It does still appear that the board of CPA Australia are extremely worried about, being truly accountable, given the effect upon its reputation. What reputation??? Ten years of an individual as poster boy, and marketing on its education program. Was Mr Craig Laughton at the meeting as legal counsel ...

Re: Out with Malley in with Malley 2.0?

This just goes to show how the not for profit sector needs major review. Peter Wilson and John Wilson basically control AHRI. The view of the AHRI member on this site and in the AFR article, reflects the tragedy of leadership teams that control organisations, which are supposed to be Not-For Profit ...

15Dec17 - AFR-CPA Australia board to crack down on dissent

Does Peter Wilson and the board of CPA Australia now want to turn CPA Australia into the new Australian charity of Scientology? Will the board of CPA Australia now want to crush free speech and have secret spies that monitor its members and silence those that don't agree with his announcements? Will...

Re: AFR 14Dec17 - Concern over Peter Wilson's dual CPA, Australian HR Institute chairman roles

Do the members of AHRI, need to take a closer look at the accounts of AHRI and review where the money is going? Is AHRI a not for profit entity? Is AHRI a charity?? Is AHRI a business??? https://www.acnc.gov.au/RN52B75Q?ID=4D36D32A-F7F8-42B3-A57F-A4BF1BD5A9EF&noleft=1 Look at the size of the cash re...

AFR -12Dec 17 -CPA Australia's new chairman Peter Wilson faces conflict-of-interest claims

It does appear that Mr Wilson and his fellow ARHI director on the board of CPA Australia should resign. The process of appointment, does not appear to be truly independent, given the old board members had an input in the process. There are questions about the current members of the board. How indepe...

Re: AFR 11th Dec 2017 - Malley's links with Peter Wilson

A thought. Wasn't it reported that Alex Malley set the remunerations at CPAA?? So maybe he decided to increase his own termination payout each year, because he was given the power by the board? A board which had more important things to consider, like the NBL corporate boxes, or the tennis centre gr...

Re: CPA Membership Fees

A silly thought. Maybe the old board wanted to cancel the limited liability scheme, so they could then do away with a public practice section of CPA Australia, and the millions of dollars that goes with running it and the complaints that they get from the public practitioners, who make up the smalle...

Re: ABC - Entry exams and fail rates

This is a great example of denial of natural justice. The CPA Australia way. Another great example of how CPA Australia works under the management of Alex Malley. If you question something, then they tell you that it can not be reviewed, and there is no process of review. A clear example of a denial...

Re: CPA Membership Fees

Magnet you are correct. The only way to correct the CPA is to vote for the member resolutions at the AGM. Accountability is non-existent at CPA Australia. You just have to look at the AGM's. Graeme Wade reminded the members at the Senate Committee of the poor attendance at the AGM. Well did not see ...
