Re: CPA Australia - Sponsorship
This will be a question for the new board to answer to us members. I don't want my membership fees to be used for sponsorship rather I prefer more CPD at reasonable price. So together we can influence CPA Australia direction if we voice out stronger rather than let them take it in whatever direction...

Re: CPA Australia's CPA Advice Programme
Maybe its time to contact those 26 that are left and recommend them kindly to join something else, so that we can shut that this lemon business. It will be interesting when the new board come in, to ask for a set of financials for CPA Advice I want to see the income in comparison to the expenditures...

Re: CPA board before Senate Inquiry in Canberra this week
Let keep going. We still deserve an apologies from the Board and Senior Management. But most importantly we want each one of those board members and senior management to be hold accountable. Who here is thinking to jump ship. My suggestion is to think twice, Deloitte has been CPA Australia auditors ...

Re: AFR 7 Aug 2017 - Inside story of Alex Malley's final days at CPA Australia
This is a good summary for new comers or those still unaware of the issue. Please this will go as the next case study for Ethics and Governance for CPA Program. Anyway, the mess and cleaning is not done. Once the new board is appointed, a full investigation regards pays, royalties, trademarks, marke...

Re: Announcement from the Board of CPA Australia
No matter the outcome, a full investigation is a must. The Senate should also continue with the inquiry because those board of directors have to be held accountable. We should not stop here because one they have devalue the CPA Australia designation, second they have ripped us off by charging enormo...

Re: Message from Mr McPhee about Independent review requesting submissions.
My 5 cent advice, even when a new board is establish, WE members need to have open door to the board of directors to hold them accountable. The next thing once we resolve those issue is to push for CPA to issue half yearly financial statements that will allow us accountants to know what is happening...

Re: Education
That is why a new strategy which is member centric is required. All the CPD and courses have no members input its just run like a business model to build surplus rather than creating prestigious and calibre CPA and FCPA. One step at a time I guess, first we need to clean this mess and remove the boa...

I am sorry and sympathize to all public practitioner members who are CPA and FCPA. Don't lose hope, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and together we can rebuild our association stronger and better.

Re: AFR 24th July 2017 Directors 'Listening' Tour - a bit late Tim
Why now Tim, It's to late, the board should have been on listening tour with open door all the time not now when we members have pushed you to do so. It's just ticking a box now. Secondly who the heck are you Tim, you were a Divisional President and did nothing, why now when you become a board membe...

Re: Brett's Update for week ending 21st July 2017
Hi Skepticalcpa, Welcome on board. We are all surprise by our leaders at CPA that were supposed to set example for us, but obvious they are in for their own self. That is why we members need to act now because the longer we let it dragged the more damage it will do to the brand and its credibility, ...

Has anyone that wrote to the Divisional Council irrespective of which States got a response back?? I have written to mind, but is yet to hear anything, they went silent. Facebook Page for Spill Motion is now live
Hi all, Jen has setup a facebook page for the spill motion, as time in not in our favour, therefore a Facebook page is also setup so that we can have bigger coverage, On that note we have passed the 50% mark in the spill motion, we need another 50% and we are set to go, not that it will be an easy r...

Re: SPILL MOTION gathers momentum
To everyone that have shared and spread the spill motion so far, congratulation and well done. We have passed the 50% marks and as Brett has pointed out, time is not in our favour for sure, we have at least until Mid to end of August to reach the 100% or even above. Thank you also to everyone that h...

Re: CPA, Deloitte forget to mention $1.2m in exec pay
I have to agree. Most of the junior members have not understanding of accounting standards and an audit opinion is not a real view of any wronging happening as they just take a sample to test. CPA Australia and CPA Advice is a case study that auditors once again failed their duties and responsibilit...

Re: Board Of Directors sins
As an Member association, life members should be put to a vote to members not the board to choose who they give. We members should be the voting power. So this need to be changed as well and as those members sitting on the board have cause disgrace to CPA, its reputation and us members, members shou...

Re: A Path For CPA Renewal - s249D Call for Members meeting and next steps
Will it be a good idea to have more independent directors sitting on our board as currently there were only 2 independent directors and we definitely need to have open door to our board of directors, because the Senior Executives report to the board, the board report to us voting members. +1 Marcia,...

Re: CPA Australia Demographic & membership numbers
Let face the reality, it was all bull crap, the board and Alex rubbish us members while taking majority of the surplus out of the association. That is why CPA Australia should no more have surplus as a priority rather serving full status members and the accounting profession. CPA Australia to mainta...

CPA Australia Demographic & membership numbers
This document as I pointed out not long ago need to become a mandatory document to all members and CPA Australia has to publish it every 6 months as ASX firms do and the next step is to get CPA Australia to publish income and expenditures (half year financial statements) every 6 months to members. D...
