Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

Who in their right mind would deal with this or the previous board of CPA? Sorry I can't see anyone would want to merge and associate with this bunch of self serving tools!

Re: CPA Australia members are 'being taken for a ride'.

It's run by Link so it should be above board in terms of the member actually clicking the button to submit their proxy Forgive my pessimism, but if I am not mistaken you log in via CPA to submit that proxy. I have zero trust in the CPA management structure and they will have the information as to w...

Re: CPA Australia members are 'being taken for a ride'.

I would suggest you will struggle to get copies of all the proxies received by the president to use as his "proxy" vote count. Does anyone know how this can be verified? Can a request for copies be made to ensure the number of votes the chairman is authorised to use are the only ones used? I have no...

Accountants Daily - CPA believes penalties still low

God bless the CPA weighing into penalties policy governing listed companies as being too soft. Speaking to Accountants Daily, CPA Australia head of policy, Paul Drum said that while the increased penalties were a “positive initial response”, they may still be insufficient in the grand scheme of thin...

Re: 16 April 2018 - Joe Aston - AFR - WA's Auditor-General Caroline Spencer can't remain a CPA director

So the fact they have responded to this article but have remained silent on all others might suggest to me that they had ground to refute this potential problem. What about all the others, by their lack of action all other AFR articles must be on solid ground?

Re: 10 Apr 2018 - AFR - Numbers game as losses lead to big cuts at Chartered Accountants ANZ

I do not think anyone can compare an open review into a failed business venture to what CPA did with Advice. Without the hard work and dedication by the troublesome few destabilisers the CPA debacle would still be hidden from the members, let alone the public. From my reading ICAANZ has publically a...

Re: What do members think of "InTheBlack" magazine?

After terminating my membership with CPA in December I still receive the email distribution of INTHEBLACK. Obviously my concerns over the direction of CPA and the fact they are a bunch of crooks does not exclude me from the mail list which I am sure is fed to advertisers. My name is still worth some...

That makes me angry!     What an absolute load of crap So CPA has grown again back in 2016. WTF I thought we clarified we had 155,116 financial members. I still wonder how many of these international members are full/voting members as my queries to the board were never...

Re: 12th Feb 2018. The rort continues. Joe Aston column today

I am with you all the way theallseeingeye and Steve Hamilton and left with similar feelings. I am concerned no member resolutions put forward for the AGM will get air time. They will be deemed defamatory/against constitution/against law/etc by the board or buried deep into a ridiculously long and fl...

I never questioned the course itself...if I couldnt pass the subjects they set, I would have realised that perhaps accounting is not the job for me. Re: Out with Malley in with Malley 2.0?

Now the 2017 year is complete would a new s202B notice be worthwhile with information from the following year being "freshly" prepared by the new board. A fresh audit as well. I have terminated membership now so I cannot help but still want the bastards held to account without my money.

Re: AFR 13th Dec 2017 Link between CPA Australia and Peter Wilsons AHRI

The one research output, a joint research project, "Ethics in Business", that used the member databases of both bodies was released in July under AHRI's brand only. Mr Wilson said that marked the effective end of the co-operation agreement between CPA and AHRI. So AHRI was running an ethics in busi...
