Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Re: CPA director Caroline Spencer appointed WA Auditor General

So now Caroline Spencer has taken up her appointment with the WA Auditor General Office, yet CPA is still trying to work out its legal position with regards to her director fees.

Re: AGM Day - Live Feed

CPA and CA won't merge unless, firstly the CPA Program minors the Professional Year (PY) program or the program that CA has at the time of the merger and secondly the CA run out of funds and are looking for a merger partner. This is very unlikely to occur. The merger was looked at previously, many y...

Re: AGM Day - Live Feed

The CPA board would be happy to see the spillers and all the members of this website just move on to another association, so they could continue to do what they wanted. It is easy to give up, because the first action was lost. When this whole situation start, there were only a small number of member...

Re: AGM Day - Live Feed

Fellow members of CPA and CPAmembers.org. The change to CPA will take time, but it can happen. Do not think that the loss at the AGM should be the end to this matter. It does require getting the good people of this organisation to encourage all the members, both young and old to take part, for they ...

Re: Proxy Voting at AGM

The AGM will mostly likely only provide light refreshments. Would not expect anything grand at the CPA AGM. The board generally save the good stuff for themselves. They will probably have a dinner prepared for them, after the end of the AGM, and have their accommodation paid for, their airfares paid...

Re: ABC - Entry exams and fail rates

Hello Ancor,

I would suggest that you attend the AGM, along with as many of your fellow CPA friends, to voice your opinion to the board about the CPA education system and vote.

Change can only come from the voices of many CPA members.

Here is something interesting. The AHRI website even published the link to Joe Aston's article relating to Caroline Spencer's appointment as WA Auditor General. What does that indicate?
