Re: What are the next steps? 12th June 2017

I've been doing my best to spread the word amongst my colleagues. Each time I talk to someone, I feel a bit like Morpheus from the Matrix. "This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to ...

Re: Andrew North CPA Letter to Adam Awty 01062017

He's on almost $1 million per year and he can't even manage to address every issue in the letter? Zero acknowledgement on member numbers, not even to give some bullshit excuse about why they "can't" divulge that information. He also provided zero evidence to substantiate his claim that "no director...

Re: AFR 18th May 2017 Fudging Membership Number at CPA

Does anyone have the membership fees payable for the
years 2007-2010? I'm building a membership model and this
will help me remove the 3% fee increase assumption with actual
figures.

Re: All members are welcome to say what they think. I think.

Given our role as accountants, we are called to exercise professional scepticism, to review, to check assumptions, to run our own independent analysis and calculations. Each individual can by referring to source documentation such as the constitution, annual reports, the corporations act etc, confir...

Guys, Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I understand and empathise with your frustrations, but have a look at this article from the Good Governance Institute: www.governanceinstitute.com.au%2Fmedia%2F706847%2Fggg_dealing-with-requests-access-share-register.pdf It specifically says that email a...

Re: Is the appointment of the new Director valid?

How do we proceed to challenge this? Surely we can now seek help from ASIC & the Courts? We must act swiftly before more damage is done!! Have a read of this topic. Also there have been discusions regarding sections of the corporations act, such as the ones around directors duties and oppressive co...

Re: About using Link Market Services or Computer Share Australia to elect CPAA’s director(s).

My two cents. Perhaps there should be more independent directors. The two at the moment are too few. Perhaps four is good number. Set a time limit of three years where the "independence" expires. The remuneration committee should have a majority of independent directors on it. When a director ceases...

Actually they are recruiting quite a few more other people too. Far too many marketing/sales related positions, not one related to improving training or training content. I also found out that CPA also has a content producer that is paid to cover Alex's Naked CEO, Bottom Line. He was featured in the...

Here is a screenshot of the 63 of the annual report. It has the presidents/deputies of each state.
Of course the link that has the full council has already been disabled to make it hard for members to initiate contact.

If the board resigns, does anyone know how much the executives will receive in termination pay. Re: Lack of information about what is happening

I still feel that the director, in accepting their fee would still be somewhat tainted. Should they pay it back on moral grounds, it would send a strong signal that they acknowledge that such payments are reprehensible. This creditable action would take the high ground "encouraging" other Directors ...
