Re: AFR 2 Aug 2017 - Remaining CPA board to appear before Senate Committee

Whilst the constitution does mention the other elements- such as resignation, status etc the act doesn't specifically include them as part of the register. Also the members register is constructed from details held in their CRM which contains lots of other details about members both past and presen...

Re: Senate Inquiry to Add Emails to Member Register

From the Senate hearing: here's the latest edition of the unadulterated rubbish that spews forth from the CPA Board & Management. They're all in this together ... protecting themselves and leaving members out of the loop. The Senate had a gutfull of it earlier today, and have called the entire board...

Re: CPAs lose liability cover Australia-wide

The email was probably only sent to public practitioners, to limit the negative feedback. yep, spot on ... and as sure as the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning, a PR person and/or a lawyer will scribe a sugar-coated reason/explanation why all members weren't informed of their unprecedented...

Re: CPAs lose liability cover Australia-wide

The fact of the matter is without the intervention of the Victorian minister, who Mr Malley bagged at the time, we wouldn't have heard about the end of the scheme until probably the first week in October! Mr Malley and his minions were hiding this colossal stuff up with the CPA Advice conflict from...

This whitewash cannot be allowed to continue. How many of these dudes are a member of CA ANZ?

Why doesn't CA discipline them, individually or collectively, for conduct unbecoming of a Chartered Accountant and/or for bringing the profession of accounting into disrepute?

Now turn to the proposal to release the email addresses of members. I do not agree that the non? release of email addresses is "tantamount to deliberate obstruction." In contemporary society I believe there is a heightened awareness and deep concern for the protection of our personal privacy. For i...

Re: AFR 4 July 2017 - CPA Australia finds Angus Houston has a problem

No Alex, your crimes are myriad. The first is spending tens of millions of your members' money taking a public profile. Another was fudging CPA's membership numbers, while cloaking their particulars in secrecy. And other crimes include: refusing for months to disclose your pay; moving the AGM to Si...

Nothing is left to chance. geez, the existing board still elect themselves (their replacements) via the Chairman, and we're in the grandstands watching. They actually told us the process. See the March 16 important member information. http://cpamembers.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2 Very thorough process done 100% by the Directors at the end the Representative Council gets to tick the box (and cannot choose to not tick the box). geez, that payout is almost 3 years wages. Who signed-off on that employment agreement?
