Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Re: Interim Report and Posting Guide

I'll read the entire thing closer another day, but just skimming through it it's a huge disappointment: [ 1 ] no recommendation that members should been electing the board, and not the Representative Council. [ 2 ] Divisional Councils and Representative Councils still confuses me; there's no recomme...

Re: CPA board before Senate Inquiry in Canberra this week

. I watched the whole thing again last night. I lost track of the number of times Dickson and Wade were unable to answer questions, and had to take them on notice. The reasons they stated for not calling an EGM and not handing out email addresses was pathetic obfuscation. Furthermore, Dickson was u...

At the Senate hearing this arvo Wade kept a straight face and said it wasn''t a waste of money. It was expected,. It was a long term project which would suffer losses in its formative years. Xenophon asked them to forward a copy of their corporate plan (it's due Friday).

Re: CPA, Deloitte forget to mention $1.2m in exec pay

.    Deloitte have denied they made a mistake! CPAA can simply start as many subsidiaries as it likes and thus by-pass/ignore the limits on directors remuneration ... and what exactly do those dudes at ASIC do? The silence from ASIC is deafening. Re: Announcement from the Board of CPA Australia

I wonder if this announcement, a mere two days after the Senate committee stated they would call the remaining board members, merely coincidental.

Does this mean they don't have to comply with the request? I hope not. We need to hear them being questioned.

They are supposed to be reporting directly to the members. The board will get it at the same time as the rest of us. It was originally stated that they would report to the board but that was changed. Just another stuff up to originally announce it like that. great, that one went through to the keep...

Re: Brett's Update 3rd August 2017

The one thing that I, and most of the members I am in contact with do not want is a whitewash by the Independent Panel. We want to see some proactive and firm action. My sympathies are not with the CPA leadership, and I suggest the Independent Panel needs to be realistic and not too taken in with t...

Re: AFR 2 Aug 2017 - Remaining CPA board to appear before Senate Committee

Whilst the constitution does mention the other elements- such as resignation, status etc the act doesn't specifically include them as part of the register. Also the members register is constructed from details held in their CRM which contains lots of other details about members both past and presen...

From the Senate hearing: here's the latest edition of the unadulterated rubbish that spews forth from the CPA Board & Management. The fact of the matter is without the intervention of the Victorian minister, who Mr Malley bagged at the time, we wouldn't have heard about the end of the scheme until probably the first week in October! Mr Malley and his minions were hiding this colossal stuff up with the CPA Advice conflict from...

This whitewash cannot be allowed to continue. How many of these dudes are a member of CA ANZ?

Why doesn't CA discipline them, individually or collectively, for conduct unbecoming of a Chartered Accountant and/or for bringing the profession of accounting into disrepute?
