Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

SME Round Table Breakfast: Dr Richard Hames - Futurist

Wasn't sure where to post this but thought i'd put it in here...

I attended a business breakfast this morning at the CPA HQ in Melbourne. Guest speaker was Dr Richard Hames.

His presentation was very interesting and he made a number of very good points, one in particular which made me chuckle.

He was giving his thoughts on democracy, leadership and the current political landscape.

He made the point that many leaders once elected in to power by the people, then fail to engage those people who voted them in. They fail represent the people, they can be open to corruption and rather than working with people, they can effectively stonewall them.

Now I'm not sure if Richard is aware of the failings at CPA over the past few years, or if he is fact a secret Spiller, but i thought it was very funny!

Our acting CEO Adam Awty was in attendance, as were 2 new directors. I wonder if the presentation resonated with them?

Good comment. But you know none of them were elected. I hope they listened anyway.

Very unlikely.
