Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Well now the site is up and running, with contacts, we could look into obtaining email addresses from the directory. You can honestly pay a freelancer $100 and they will go through each and every contact and copy the email. What do you think?

NakedAdmin was in the process of asking for volunteers,
only to discover that someone else had already done it.
So I assume that an email with the link for the spill
motion and this site has been sent out or will be shortly.

We've sent the email and got about 20% response rate. Unfortunately there a lot of people who don't open their emails.

I think we need a phone campaign to the rest. Any volunteers?

2 of my public practice colleagues (that I know of) have received an email re the spill, so they're making progress which is great.

I get involved in digital marketing, a 20% response rate* is a fantastic result for an email campaign. The industry standard is more like 1%.

Don't let unrealistic expectations get you down. Its very likely a significant chunk of your emails were caught in spam filters, more went to the junk box, a fair pile would have bounced, a number of members would have provided an email address way back when and never updated it meaning the email is sitting in a rarely monitored email account.

*Assuming that you don't mean a 20% open rate and a much lower response/action rate.

Have you seen this survey?

Wonder why a second survey has been started. Are they aware of the cpa members website survey? Is there cooperation between the 2 surveys?

Inviting all CPA members to participate in a short survey about appointing an Interim CPA Board to guide us through this challenging time.

Dear CPA Member

As you are aware, the highly-publicised questionable leadership of the Board and certain of its Executives, is resulting in significant and ongoing erosion of the CPA brand and reputation, and confusion and disappointment for thousands of its members.

Let’s stand side by side as CPA Members, support a swift and clean change to return the shine to our great brand, so CPA Australia can continue to support us as professionals and the practices of which we are a part.

Please take this 1 minute survey to make your voice heard. Survey closes 21 July 2017.

Please send this link to all CPA Members in your firm and your CPA colleagues, so they too have a say.

I was just making a very rough guess about the amount the numbers went up around the time the email was sent. We do have massive support and the conversion rates etc on the minimal promotions done seem to be way better than normal marketing. Still not easy though.

People have said that we look disorganised. That's because we are disorganised. There are several different groups and individuals. I'd like to see them all come together and be more organised in approach but that's not a simple thing for some reason.

Hi Jen and Brett,
We all know you are extremely busy, to put it mildly, but I think we would all appreciate someone providing us us with current $ value of fighting fund and the number of members now in favour of the spill motion.
Regards,
Ken

by Jen to all people who had completed the petition.

Added another $100 to my Facebook campaign to make more members aware.
So far my first $100 sent 95 members to the survey. Not a huge number, but hopefully they tell some colleagues too.
Basically this is the best way I know to keep reaching the members. Only targeting Australia right now.
Let me know if you want to chip in!

This is great. At less than $1 per vote that is more cost effective than post. Hopefully people will contribute.

LinkedIn also allows good targeted ads. You can target members of the CPA Australia group. I heard that one campaign was costing $2 per 1,000 impressions and getting over 1 in 100 clicks. So less than 20 cents per click. That campaign was promoting this website rather than the spill. I recommend pay per 1,000 impressions as the click through rate could be fairly high.

Ah awesome idea stuart7111, might be a good idea to message Brett and Naked Admin. I think a few hundred from fighting fund into this type of advertisement is a great idea!
