Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594

Contact with State President

Post by cpa66 » Wed Jun 07, 2017 11:54 pm

HI All

Further to Brett's critique titled -Re: SPIN. MISREPRESENTATION. GREED. EVEN LIES last Thursday June 1, I forwarded this to a WA state councillor to voice my displeasure. This was then forwarded to the WA state president. He contacted me yesterday to obtain further insight into my views of the way CPAA is being managed (or rather mismanaged and misgoverned). He had asked me how many other WA members felt this way to which was not able to answer as I don't know. He did not attempt to change my views. To the WA members please feel free to voice your concerns to Paul Tiernan as he indicated to me that he will voice these concerns further up the chain. I am not sure how much influence he has as he is one of 24 on the representative council ( I think). The more voices heard will hopefully mean that the message will be constant in the corridors of CPAA. I would suggest all members contact your state president and send them copy of Brett's critique and link to this site!

Here is a screenshot of the 63 of the annual report. It has the presidents/deputies of each state.
Of course the link that has the full council has already been disabled to make it hard for members to initiate contact.

I wonder whether any time will be made to openly discuss this issue and members feelings, during the WA Public Practice Conference tomorrow?

Anyone else know where we can find out about regional discussion groups - or have these been disabled too?

I can't seem to find the results of the 2017-2018 divisional council elections that were held on October 2016 for the Queensland Divisional Council. Furthermore, the link https://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/council does not seem to appear on the Wayback Machine so who knows for sure the current councillors and committee members.

Looking at LinkedIn I have found some of the following who may be current CPA Queensland councillors: If you want to see a list of everyone who says they currently work at CPA Australia (and this tends to include councillors and committee members) you can go to https://www.linkedin.com/search/results ... So it looks like the automatic caching of the representative council was disabled at the end of 2016.

I am trying to get hold of Victorian Divisional Council.
Just to touch base with them and see when they meet next and see what views they may have.

If the members listed on the wayback machine are still current then I think you may already have some idea of what their views are if they have posted re the issues .

Piotr Jakubicki-
I suggest that if you have any concerns about the governance at CPA Australia that you contact Jeff Hughes, COO Member Services, CPA Melbourne.
Jenny Lang - Recently Resigned from Board. Probably not too happy with things.
Nigel Fitzpatrick-
The existing system has worked well for members.
The others who knows- However two present at Alex's recent sales presentation were warmly greeted by him. Although this means nothing as the man is a master networker and showman.
