Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

You just Can't get away from Alex's interviews about nothing

What kind of things would members actually want CPA Australia to focus on vs what are they actually doing

You just can't get away from Alex and his interviews about nothing in particular, well nothing in particular about finance or accounting. He's even now in Qantas's inflight magazine as attached.

Can't wait for the s202 disclosure and confirmation Alex, Adam and Jeff have been double paying themselves. (hopefully for them my assumption is wrong)

Full time pay for CEO of CPA Australia and Full Time pay for CEO of CPA Australia Advice. Physically not possible of course, but that is not going to stop people trying to get away with it!

You can only suspect its the story they are trying to come up with that is causing the delay in disclosure, You'd imagine the May board meeting has come and gone.

Let's face it the disclosure has implications for the whole board and all executive leadership who were aware of the potential double pay and could have stopped it.

I wouldn't be surprised if CPAA paid for the privilege, either...

Given his ability to say that black is white, Alex would write that he had transformed CPAs image from that of being conservative, staid yet reputable to one to one that prided itself as being the world leader of minimal disclosure/transparency, intimidation, conflicted interests and self aggrandisement. Having nothing left to give after squandering tens of millions of members funds for a decade, it was time to move on so that he could leverage his experience as Donald Trump's new press secretary.
