Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

AFR Article 30th May 2017 CPA members still waiting for boards pay

A great article in the AFR today on the waiting game for the CPA Australia board to reveal their pay.
The article is attached.
If any subscribe to the AFR you should have a look at the article on their website because it includes two interactive charts which are very revealing and provide perspective.
One on the remuneration of CPA compared to other membership organisations like the CAANZ, AICD, GIA, TIA which helps to provide perspective. I hardly need to say CPA is by far the worst but you can have a look to see that for yourselves. As one member said on the website the reason for the delay is probably because they are still briefing the PR company on how they can spin this.
The other chart shows the gradual decline in member growth in % terms since 2009, and the obvious misleading nature of their disclosure of membership numbers by failing to reveal how many are associates and full members. Bizarre is the best explanation I can think of for their 'trickery'.
Have a read of the article and please forward it to others as this is the sort of information that Head Office is trying to prevent the rest of the membership from knowing. And if you get a chance shoot the editor (Michael Stutchbury) and Joe Aston of the AFR a note to say thanks for pursuing this matter. Without their coverage (and Liz Hobday at the ABC, and Ben Butler at The Australian) all these issues at CPA Australia would be just ignored by the CPA leadership and the membership would be completely unaware if them such is their big brother approach to censorship of communication among members.
For thos so inclined perhaps a letter to the editor would not go astray.

Yet more promises from the LinkedIn Influencer to reveal his pay packet "soon"

What's the head to head betting on whether Trump's tax returns or Malley's pay packet will be revealed sooner?

They are busy working out a way to "spin" the message as I'm guessing the amount the "LinkedIn Influencer" gets paid will be a very hot topic!!!

Hot of the press. Alex Malley Salary still not disclosed!!! What does Alex have to hide? Is it time for him to go? CPA Still not advising of director fees paid to Jeff Hughes for his overseas directorships or others?

Tyrone Carlin stepping down as CPA President early. The whole board needs to quite. Graeme Wade CFO has alot of questions to answer about what Alex Malley and executive team are getting paid.

WOW WOW WOW. Brett right on the money. Louis VIX Malley, needs to go. These guys let down the whole CPA membership. They let down the members, the discussion group chairpersons and other who do not receive any payment, but act try to education and build a better CPA, while these guys act badly.

Jeff Hughes and Adam Awty are also directors of other associated entities, which is disclosed in the 2016 annual accounts, but their payments may not be disclosed below. So will their remuneration be even greater?

The following unaudited table contains the total remuneration, including the ‘at
risk’ component, of the Chief Executive and the Chief Operating Officers for the
year ending 31 December 2016.

Salary & Fees Bonus Other Super Total
Alex Malley 1,367,131 345,639 38,561 35,000 1,786,331
Adam Awty 703,892 207,179 8,324 30,000 949,395
Jeff Hughes 681,904 182,031 8,324 30,000 902,259
Total 2,752,927 734,849 55,209 95,000 3,637,985

Awty is a Director of Professions Australia the association for associations that obviously vitally important. If he's getting paid from that it's not included.

Also a member of Professions Australia is the Urological Society where Tyrone is a Director.

I reckon Tyrone resigned cause he knows how much research funding is going on. Even the obscene amounts in this document are probably not even enough for these guys.
