Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

HSU's Michael Williamson for CEO

I watched the unravelling of the HSU with amazement that Michael Williamson lead an organisation with so much self interest and corruption and was grateful that I wasn't a union member. I'm now struggling to differentiate the behaviour of Michael Williamson and his cronies with that of Alex Malley and his board.

Or the NSW RSL.
Or Obeid and Macdonald could join the board once they get out of jail.

Each and every example is a pisstake of using other people's money by elected representatives. We never learn, do we?

My great grandfather was a member of NSW Parliament at Federation and would be rolling in his grave. Glowing obituaries in newspapers in the 1920's for his contributions to the state and his electorate ; today , our leaders get a front page story about guilty verdicts and jail sentences. Not suggesting politicians were whiter than white in the past, merely that there were good achievements on the record.

The final joke being CPA's motto: "integrity". Let's see how suitable that is once there's been a truly indepedent review of salaries and expenditure and member growth.
