Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

Found this, on https://www.payscale.com/research/AU/Ce ... PA)/Salary Not sure how reliable the data is.

Average Salary for Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Have a look. It is interesting.

Didn't know what category to match Alex Malley or the CPA Board, or Adam and Jeff Hughes against. Could find one for over the top, extreme, or obscene.

Looks alittle low for the more senior roles. There is also the Robert Half, Hays and other salary guides that are more comprehensive. In the Vic public service finance director jobs currently advertised have a range of $178-231K salary. Senior accountants one level below there is a range of 115-151K. This all depends on the size and scope of the resposibilities. You can have a CFO in charge of a small agency being paid the same as a principle budget/finance Officer who covers a large section or a whole government department.
