Merry Christmas to Peter Wilson. When it was suggested that Peter Wilson should be independent of the old board so that we can have a fresh start Peter responded with "That's your issue". Summary of the meeting here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=594
A good summary of where we are up to by Joe Aston of the AFR, linked to from here: viewtopic.php?f=5&p=4137#p4137

Am all for the resolution.

It's such a shame that we have to use aliases just to discuss our professional association :(

I completely agree ZM. It says a lot about the culture that has developed at CPA Australia. They will not brook any criticism and the reluctance of members to speak openly is a sign of that.
I am still amazed that Alex Malley and Graeme Wade were able to virtually threaten one the the largest discussion groups in CPA. I'm sure the same message has been conveyed to most discussion group leaders, divisional councillors etc. We may be timid but that really needs to be challenged. The leadership at CPA Australia receive no plaudits from me for their behaviour in this regard.
Most will have seen the email from Jeff Hughes where he categorises members according to whether they play along with the Malley tune.
I'm surprised more members don't go and tell him that perhaps he needs to brought before a Disciplinary Committee for treating the members in such a way. And that is the approach coming from the top of CPA Australia. Little wonder members are reluctant to speak out.

What a great site!!!

Myself and my colleagues are all long time cpa members and have been uncomfortable with the direction of cpa Australia over the last few years.

The AFR stories have well and truly validated that!!!

Keep up the pressure everyone - we need to remove the whole board and under qualified and way overpaid "ceo".

Agree about having to use aliases. The fact our own organisation would target us is unbelievable in a free country.

We need an expose on a show like four corners!! The Board would probably then have the AGM in Antarctica!

Good work Brett and Co. I'm still hiding behind an alias but I applaud your efforts. Most of us just hope that the system will work. Thank you for having the courage to speak out.
